24/12/2009 CHRISTMAS EVE .
The Snow and ice has at last Started to move ,
its been a real struggle to get around anywhere
is past few days.main roads were gritted but
side roads and pavements were Dangerous ,
Farnborough remained open most of time except
for a few hours when snow clearing took place
Movements christmas Eve were mainly by Based
Aicraft.and Regular traffic.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR

Another very cold frosty farnborough morning . Very slight overnight
Rain and snow making it very Slippery .
Railservices locally all ok but channel Tunnel
at a standstill. Local airports mainlt ok
with a few Delays.

Heavy Snow fall overnight 0n the 17th all roads very
treacherous and iced up but were open to traffic.
Friday 18th no more snow just Frosty .
Saturday 19 very low Temperture down to -7 c
more snow Expected Saturday Eve.
Farnborough Airport has continued to operate
as normal .

Local Events : Rushmoor in Bloom 2009
Yesterday 14th july the Judges were on an open tour bus around
Aldershot and Farnborough , vehicle used was a Southdown
open topped double deck 1960s vintage.

Aldershot Army Show
The weekend Army Show went ahead with the blessing
of the Familes after a Tragic event in Afganistan where
a very senior officer was killed (Aldershot based)
Saturday was well Attended in good weather with
only a few very light Showers. Huge crowds were there
to See a good selection of exhibits and arena Displays
Opening with the Human Cannonball .

The Arena Battle against Insurgents Afganistan
There were some very colourfull events like this dragon Dancing
And this Gentleman on a very large Cycle
